THERMAL IMAGING

Electricity causes heat as it travels through your wiring. Sometimes where circuit overloading and high resistance joints are present, this heating can become excessive and may lead to an electrical fire. All electrical equipment and components are subject to deterioration. This deterioration may be in many forms; loose or corroded connections and joints, insulation resistance breakdown or worn parts.

Thermal imaging is an effective and efficient way of testing wiring – it minimises the downtime and labour costs associated with more traditional forms of testing.

Using an infrared camera, thermal imaging produces temperature calibrated infrared or “heat” pictures. Based on these thermal images, analysis by our team of experts will detect temperature differences that indicate anomalies and hot spots.
